1. PT x TiK x SIK regular sport sessions
Pack your indoor shoes and head to the ball sports hall of Otahalli every Thursday from 5.1. onwards at 21-22! There you will be able to play badminton or basketball with TiK, SIK and other PT members.

All the most important announcements and news about the association will be posted in the channel from now on, for example about events and the summary of the weekly newsletter sent by email. The New Year is here which only means that the recruit for ISOs is coming! The info will be held on Tuesday the 24th of January 2023 at 16:15 in KE1 lecture hall.
9. PT x IK x VK Board game and EMC infonight 19.1.
Do you dream of international cooperation or working for a more sustainable future? Did you know that renewable energy sources and electric vehicles require an enormous number of metals? The amount of currently available metals is not enough for this, no matter how much we recycle. Mining is still crucial for sustainable development.
PT, VK and IK are arranging a board game night, where we play board games and also introduce the European Mining Course (EMC) Master’s programme to you. The event will be held January 19 at Otaranta Clubroom from 17:00 onwards. EMC is an international Triple-Degree Master’s programme including three different universities. In the degree, you’ll study for example modern mine design, determining life cycles of minerals and improving work safety in mining conditions.
The event is directed towards Bachelor students that are interested in metals and the mining industry. Students, alumni and professors will attend. There will also be food and beverages at the event.

10. PT x VK Murata-excursion 27.1.
Are you interested in the electronic component and sensor industry? Would you like to learn more about the possibilities created by semiconductors and MEMS -tehcnology? Are you looking for a summer job? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then come along for the VK x PT joint excursion to Murata on the 27th of January 2023. The visit includes a tour around Murata´s facility, a company presentation, and some snacks. The journey starts from Otakaari 18 bus stop at 13.15, and we´ll be back in Otaniemi by 16.45. There will be space for 20 members of Prosessiteekkarit ry and 20 members of Vuorimieskilta. The registeration for this event opened on 13.1.2023 at 12.00 pm in PT’s ilmomasiina.

13. FBI-day 25.1.
The classic and legendary FBI-day (Forest Based Industries) is back!
Current and future professionals of bioforest industry get together in Oulu on 25.1.2023. We will leave to Oulu on Tue 24.1. and head back home on Thu 26.1., so the trip is two nights long this year!
The FBI-day starts off in Radisson Blu Hotel Oulu with a seminar with the topic of diversification of the forest-based industry or “Growing new branches in forest-based industry”. In the afternoon it is time for the versatile and comprehensive business exhibitions, in which the business presenters introduce their firms. Also, the young bioforest industry enthusiasts are able to check out the job market for the next summer and ask questions from the presenters. After the formal part it is time for the social evening and the evening entertainment. So, come have a productive and networking -filled working life day!
The event is free for students and includes transportation and overnight stays. The event will be held in English. The event is open to all CHEM students.
Registration starts on Thursday 8.12. at 12:00 here remember to sign up in the Aalto University quota.
