2.      International tutor recruitment

ISO recruiting has come to an end, but we are still looking for international tutors for the upcoming fall semester! As an international tutor, you’ll get to help international students integrate into the student culture and teach them a thing or two about Finland. Below is a small info package that will hopefully help you decide!

  • We are looking for tutors for the fall semester, but you can also continue in the spring after that
  • There is a reward of one study credit and 200 €, provided that you attend tutor trainings and write a report about your tutoring experience at the end of the semester
  • One tutor typically has 4-5 tutees, but tutor groups are also made, which consist of about 4 tutors and their tutees
  • Responsibilities: contacting your tutees during the summer, being present during the orientation week, organizing an event with your tutor group, possibly collecting keys and picking people up at the airport; this was not required last year due to the corona situation
  • Pros:
    –  new people, yay!

–  you get to learn about other cultures

Link to the registration form: https://forms.gle/WVfXPmRSZ8is31MK6

The application period closes on 7.3.2021 at 23:59, after which there will be tutor interviews, held remotely. If you have any questions, message the head of international and masters’ affairs @tsulia.

3.      Exams to Exam Archivist

Hey!

As the exam week approaches, it is worth using the exam archive www.tenttiarkisto.fi for preparing for exams and getting acquainted with the questions of previous years. In order to continue to find help from the exam archive in the future, I would like to remind everyone to collect exams from the courses during the exam week! The electronic pdf format works well as a return. As an incentive, the PT members who have returned the most exams in the spring term and throughout the whole year in 2021, will be rewarded with tremendous prizes.

During the year, you can return the exams to the exam archivist Valtteri Siira in Telegram @valtterisiira.

Good luck for the exam week!

4.      PT Info Channel on Telegram

PT now has a separate Telegram channel for official announcements and news about the association – PT Info Channel! All the most important announcements and news about the association will be posted in the channel from now on, for example about events and the summary of the weekly newsletter sent by email. The switch over to the Info Channel will happen gradually so that the most important info will also be posted in the #PT-chat until the end of January 2021. The #PT-chat will remain as a chat for discussions between PT members.

You can join the PT Info Channel here: https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAFAZzeI4birVAcfBZg.
