This community, its people, culture and ways of working resonate strongly with my own values, which is why I would like to apply for the position of vice chair for the year 2027. As treasurer I have followed the guilds activities with great pride, and I can confidently say that our guild is heading in the right direction.

As vice chair, I would be helpful and understanding but still precise. Through my role as treasurer, the guild’s internal processes, administration and organizational culture have become very familiar to me, which I think will be a great asset during the potential board year. As vice chair, I would also be responsible for the management committee. I have an objective and comprehensive view of the guild and its different sections, which would be valuable in selecting and leading the committee. The vice chair is the chairs right hand, meaning I would support them in the best possible way, whether that involves drafting announcements, chairing meetings or taking care of unexpected tasks.

The best part of this role is being able to help others. I want to be someone people can always turn to for support and help foster the culture where no one feels the need to hide behind a title but can instead bring their own personality forward. It is important to me that everyone feels heard, whether they are a member, an official, or a fellow board member.

If I were to be elected, it would not mean that my current board year would go on pause. Whatever the situation, I will see my responsibilities through to ensure the next board has the best possible foundation to continue the guild’s work.

Aaro

The Vice Chair has been a separate board position for two years now and is still developing. While secretarial duties and writing minutes take up time, is there any area within PT that you would particularly like to develop? Is there a particular project that you have in mind that the Vice Chair could take on next year?

The role of vice chair is still fairly new to the PT board, but past holders have done an excellent job shaping it into what it is today. In my view, acting as the board’s secretary and taking meeting minutes efficiently are at the very core of this position. I want to ensure these routines run smoothly, while also being a dependable extra pair of hands for the rest of the board. With the upcoming XV anniversary year, ensuring stability in our operations would be especially important to me. My experience and skills provide a strong foundation for maintaining steady, everyday guild life, and I am also ready to see through any projects that may carry over from 2026.

PT operates with around one hundred officials annually, and it is important to keep them motivated throughout their term. How do you view the current recreational activities for the guild’s officials, and how would you develop these activities further?

Officials are vital to both the guild and the board. It is essential to offer them meaningful tasks without the risk of burnout. The next board should take an objective look at the overall number of officials. We need people to get things done, but building a tight and committed community is just as important. The current model, where groups can apply for their own share of the refreshment budget, works well, at least from a treasurer’s perspective. In addition to this, I would like to build more “official hype”. The officials changeover held early in the year is a great way to get to know other officials, but for the rest of the year, we could organize a low-cortisol social evening.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_button button_url=”@ET-DC@eyJkeW5hbWljIjp0cnVlLCJjb250ZW50IjoicG9zdF9saW5rX3VybF9wYWdlIiwic2V0dGluZ3MiOnsicG9zdF9pZCI6IjY0NDgifX0=@” button_text=”Takaisin” _builder_version=”4.16″ _dynamic_attributes=”button_url” _module_preset=”default” custom_button=”on” button_text_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_button][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ custom_padding_last_edited=”on|tablet” _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”0px|||||” custom_padding_tablet=”2px|12px|0px|12px|false|true” custom_padding_phone=”” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”0px|||||” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_comments _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”||||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_comments][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Prosessiteekkarit is close to my heart.
